Este domingo 18 de marzo Mujeres en las Veredas van a realizar otra salida por los caminos históricos de nuestra zona, en esta ocasión realizaran una ruta por la zona de La Fuenfría.
Saldran a las 8:30 horas del Arroyo de La Represa, junto al Museo de Los Bonsais, se dirigiran con los coches por la carretera de Ronda hasta la Venta del Navasillo, donde se parará para desayunar.
Después cogeran el carril que se dirige a la zona de Los Quejigales para desviarse hasta llegar al paraje de La Fuenfría, son unos 5 km de carril. El carril está en un estado aceptable, teniendo precaución lo puede realizar cualquier vehículo.
La Fuenfría es un lugar mítico de la serranía, cruce de caminos durante siglos. Comenzaran a andar por el antiguo camino que se dirigía hacia el Puerto de Juan Agustín y los pueblos del Genal.
Llegaran al Puerto del Laurín desde donde tendreis unas vistas inusuales del Valle del Guadaiza y hacia el Oeste del Valle del Genal, continuaran por la divisoria de aguas , hasta llegar al cruce de la vereda que se dirigía hacia el Daidín que no podran coger porque esta impracticable, sin embargo cogeran por la vereda que se dirigía hacia el puerto del Madroño por un precioso pinar hasta el Manantial de las Brencillas y después de pasarlo continuaran un poco por el pinar para volver por el mismo camino.
La ruta son unos 6 km ida e igual para volver. 12 km en total, una parte importante por carril y otra por una vereda que aunque no está muy marcado por el poco uso, no es complicada de andar.Se recomienda llevar calzado de montaña, ropa según climatología, agua, bocadillo, cámara de fotos y muchas ganas de disfrutar de la naturaleza.

This coming Sunday a walk will take place to the Fuenfría zone along the historic mountain paths in our area.
We will leave at 08.30 hrs from the Bonsai Museum in the Arroyo de la Represa and by car we take the Ronda Road just up to the Venta del Navasillo where we stop for breakfast. Afterwards we will take the track that leads us to Los Quejigales from where we continue another 5 kms until we reach the Fuenfría zone. The track is in an acceptable state and driving with care it can be negotiated by most cars.
In this mountain range Fuenfría is a historic place, situated for centuries at important crossroads. Our walk starts by the old road that goes to the Puerto de Juan Agustín and the villages of the Genal Valley.
We will arrive at the Puerto del Laurin that provides us with unusual views of the Valle del Gudaiza and towards the west of the Genal Valley. Passing the watershed we arrive at the crossroad that leads towards El Daidín although we won’t go there as the track is in a very bad state. Instead we take the track that goes to the Puerto del Madroño through a pleasant pine forest till we arrive at the Manantial de las Brencillas from there we continue for a short while through the pine forest again in order to return to the same track.
The complete length of this route is 12 kms, partly by road and partly by a mountain track that, although not much in use is fairly easy to negotiate.
As usual we advise you to wear sturdy boots, dress according to the prevailing weather and take enough water and food with you . A camera and a willingness to appreciate nature are also indispensable in order to enjoy this walk.
